Project Manager for the Local Supply Section

At the Migration Agency, we are working on one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

The Local Supply Section is in an exciting development and transformation phase, currently driving a large number of significant change and development projects that will impact the entire Migration Agency's local supply, service, and local management.

We are now looking for a project manager for our large projects.

Description

The Local Supply Section is part of the agency's National Operational Department (NOA) with about 160 employees across the country from Malmö in the south to Boden in the north. The agency's headquarters is located in Norrköping. The Local Supply Section is responsible for the Migration Agency's local supply, local projects, FM services, and operational physical security nationally at the locations where the agency is located.

The Local Supply Section is working on a new landlord procurement. Innovation and development are crucial to creating functional, safe, and cost-effective housing and offices for a complex operation. In this work, you will have the support of the agency's experts in the field as well as other units and colleagues within the Local Supply Section. The section consists of three project units with different types of premises as the main assignment: administrative premises, housing, and detention. We offer a developing and dynamic job in a constantly changing world.

Responsibilities

The Local Supply Section is responsible for the agency's premises from Norrland to Skåne. The work fundamentally consists of tasks related to property and local projects such as thorough needs assessment, requirement specification, budgeting, forecasting, creating timelines, tender documents, contract law, procurement law related to LOU, etc. Norms and requirements are continuously developed for these projects regarding technology, function, and security.

Who are you?

As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, innovative, and analytical. You have an easy time seeing the big picture and possess a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. Since the work involves many collaborations both within the organization and externally with suppliers and partners, it is important that you are skilled at and enjoy collaborating, communicating, and building professional relationships. Because the Migration Agency is a public authority with a complex operation, you need to have very good judgment and be quality-conscious.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree of at least 120 credits in construction, economics, or other post-secondary education combined with relevant work experience
• Extensive experience in coordinating and leading large property projects with budget responsibility
• Good knowledge of contract law and LOU
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

The position may be classified in a security class, and a security check with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted if so.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge and experience of working in detention or locked operations with high security
• Knowledge and experience in creating modern office premises
